Preventing or reducing erosion processes is an important factor in being able to use arable land in the long term and at the same time maintaining soil quality.

Therefore, two greened flowpaths were created in the HOAL Petzenkirchen. These should fulfill several functions. This greened flowpaths are intended to achieve water retention in the landscape and damping of peak runoff during precipitation events, as well as sediment retention and nutrient retention.

The effects will be quantified by the usage of the monitoring system which covers the single parts of the water cycle.
